Vegetarian Menus

Diwali's just round the corner...The festival of lights...Loads of crackers and lights and well......GUESTS!!It being the most busy time of the year...What with all the sweets and food preparations...I've taken the liberty to set up menus fr the occasion and have also linked u to the best recipes i found off the net...!You can always use your own recipes along the same lines..! Also try and remember not to keep 2 dishes of the same type..(You cant have paneer as starters and main course at the same time! 2 much paneer!!!) Hope u like the combinations...:)

2)Paneer Butter Masala
3)Mushrooms and Baby Corn Stir Fry
4)Spring Onion Parantha

7)Cham Cham/Rasmalai

Gulab Jamun With Ice Cream



INGREDIENTS-

1)GITS Gulab Jamun packet(I do not wish to advertise but these were the best i tasted!!)..
2)Vanilla IceCream

METHOD-

1)Heat the Gulab Jamun.
2)Serve hot with ice-cream!!!

Off the net!! But looked yummyy!! :D

These make a great sweet dish when you are pressed for time!!


Makkai Cakes

INGREDIENTS-

1)2 cups corn kernels
2)2 tbsp butter
3)750ml pints milk
4)1/2 tsp chilli powder
5)Salt to taste
6)pepper to taste
7)2tbsp dhania leaves
8)50 gms breadcrumbs

METHOD-

1)Grind the corn kernels coarsely.
2)Heat the butter in a saucepan and fry the ground corn for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.Add the milk and simmer till dry.
3)Add the chilli powder,salt,pepper and dhania leaves.
4)Add breadcrumbs and mix well.Divide mixture  into small patties.
5)Heat the butter in a frying pan.Shallow fry the patties till golden brown.



Note--- U can add small pieces of cheese in the centre of each patties.Adds to the richness...:)
